Service Description

Phish Check is an AI-powered email analysis service that provides opinions on whether forwarded emails may be phishing attempts. The service analyzes email content, headers, and links to provide a verdict of SAFE, SUSPICIOUS, or PHISHING.

Important Disclaimers

Advisory Service Only

Phish Check provides informational guidance only. Our verdicts are opinions based on AI analysis and should not be considered definitive security determinations.

  • A "SAFE" verdict does not guarantee an email is legitimate
  • A "PHISHING" verdict does not guarantee an email is malicious
  • You are responsible for your own decisions regarding email interactions

No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, no phishing detection system is perfect. Phishing attacks constantly evolve, and sophisticated attacks may evade detection. Similarly, legitimate emails may occasionally be flagged as suspicious.

We do not guarantee:

  • 100% detection of phishing emails
  • Zero false positives on legitimate emails
  • Protection against all email-based threats

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Craig Peterson and Mainstream Technology Group shall not be liable for:

  • Any damages resulting from reliance on Phish Check verdicts
  • Financial losses from phishing attacks, whether detected or undetected
  • Data breaches or security incidents
  • Business interruption or lost profits
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

Maximum liability for any claim related to this service is limited to the amount paid for the service ($27).

Your Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  1. Final decisions are yours — You are responsible for deciding how to act on any email, regardless of our verdict
  2. Security is multi-layered — Phish Check is one tool, not a complete security solution
  3. When in doubt, verify — If you're unsure about an email, contact the sender through a known, trusted channel
  4. Timely action matters — If you've already clicked a suspicious link or entered credentials, take immediate action (change passwords, contact IT, etc.)
